Things for me to remember

Isaiah's first ear infection - December 23rd
13 weeks in pregnancy now - I have been feeling great for the last few weeks with only a few days of nausea from 9 weeks on. Had to start wearing maternity clothes at 12 weeks tho. I was hoping to hold off until 14 weeks or so, but oh well. Right now I am thinking this little one is a girl. I don't crave vinegar or sour things like I did with Isaiah. My nausea ended earlier, I never stopped liking chocolate or sweet things. I actually craved them!! I have been able to drink coffee for the last week and actually like it. Did not like coffee or even want it with Isaiah until well into the second trimester. Gained 2 lbs as of 12 weeks. My skin is definitely worse than it was with Isaiah. I am super itchy and have weird patches of red bumps on the left side of my face that itch. My hair also seems to have lost some of it's waviness which started around the time I was pregnant with the baby we miscarried and is still not as wavy. This could also be because I had my hair cut really short around the time i got pregnant with our miscarried baby.

Isaiah is getting his bottom right eye tooth.

Today he woke up from a very short nap with a weezy breathing called stridor. So scary. We ended up calling the nurse at the pediatricians office who said to take him outside in the cold and then take him into a steamy bathroom. This seemed to help, but the nurse still thought it sounded like he had stridor and to take him to the ER. We ended up going to ai Dupont Children's Hospital. They were wonderful! Of course when we got there he sounded great and they gave him a steroid which opened up his airways and will allow him to breath easier should he have another episode overnight. So glad that is all it was and he is now doing so much better.

Hope to get to see baby Kyren and Melissa this week. Missing hanging out with one my girls!

A new day a new beginning!

Well it is Midnight on November 1st and I am sitting here writing this blog as Kyle watches/sleeps during the Phillies vs Yankees game.

We have had a really exciting week here and thought I would post for the sake of my memory as much as anything else.

On Thursday, October 28th I found out I was pregnant for the 3rd time!! It was quite a shocker as I really did not think it would happen this soon after having a miscarriage on 9/9/09. I am so thankful to God for this little person growing inside of me and am going to cherish every minute that I get to spend with him/her.

I was able to hold off telling Kyle until Friday night after we had put Isaiah to bed. We were sitting on the couch, him working on his lap top and me "making' a t-shirt. It took him about an hour before he looked at what I was doing and asked me what I was making. I said I am making a t-shirt that says "Our little firecracker due July 2010." He was soo excited and looked at me like I was kidding with him. He said he had been hoping I was going to tell him I was pregnant that night, but that he was trying not to get his hopes up. After thinking this wasn't going to be our month at the beginning of this week to telling him I was pregnant on Friday night was such a thrill!!

Here is a picture of the rainbow that God gave us the day after we found out we had miscarried our little girl. It is hard to see in the picture, but there are actually 2 rainbows and it had not even been rainy that day!! Maybe it'll be twins. ;-)

Back in Action

It has been over two months since I have posted something and boy have many things changed. I "retired" from my job at Chatham Financial on Friday, June 13th and then gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on Monday, June 16th. I had so many plans for the two weeks I was "supposed" to have before he was born, but God in His infinite wisdom decided that we would be parents sooner. His name is Isaiah Cameron Lucas, named after the prophet Isaiah, which means the Lord Saves. Isaiah is my favorite book in the Bible, I love how poetic it is as well as how much it shows the saviors love for us.

Here is our precious son when he was first born. He was perfect!!

Isaiah Cameron Lucas
Due: Tuesday, July 1, 2008
Born: Monday, June 16, 2008
Time: 10:52 PM
Weight: 7lbs 4 oz
Height: 19.5 Inches

Here he is at seven weeks giving smiles to those around him and exploring his world.

I love this face and hope this is just a reflection of more of his personality that we have yet to see.

He is finally starting to enjoy tummy/belly time, but needs to be fully awake to do so.

I love being a mom and absolutely adore watching our son grow.

Newbies!!

We are officially new bloggers!!! Kyle is reluctant to even journey in this new world of blogging, but that's ok. I imagine this will be more of an online type journal experience where we can share our lives with others and record special moments to share with our children!
